Making progress on Concord Oval

Council | 29 September 2020

The City of Canada Bay is working hard to create a new recreation space for our growing community.

Our Redevelopment of Concord Oval project is progressing well.

Demolition is now complete and we are pleased to announce that ADCO Constructions have been appointed as the principal contractor for the construction phase.

We recycled 85% of all demolished materials during demolition stage, ensuring environmental sustainability is at the forefront of this project from the very beginning.

When finished, the precinct will deliver a range of community services including a new indoor recreation centre, open spaces for passive recreation, rooms for community use, new match day facilities for local sporting clubs and a brand new high performance training, administration and community facility for Wests Tigers.

Proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with the Australian Government, City of Canada Bay, and Wests Tigers, the Redevelopment of Concord Oval will create living recreation spaces for the forecasted increased population throughout the Burwood-Concord and Kings Bay precincts.
