Spectacle Island is one of Sydney Harbour’s least known islands, largely due to the continuous prohibition of general public access since the late 1860s.
Curran will discuss the colourful characters associated with the Island and its history as a colonial gunpowder magazine, Royal Navy ordnance depot and Royal Australian Navy armament depot.
