"The project aims to provide greater convenience for public transport users, with the new shelters including details on timetables and other relevant information," he said.
"The shelters will also offer the local community protection from extreme weather.
"We are hoping the project will encourage more people to use public transport which will provide environmental benefits for our City."
The City of Canada Bay is encouraging feedback from the community about where they would like these new bus shelters to be located.
The project is expected to start mid-2014 and be rolled out over two years.
Feedback is open until Friday, 1 November 2013.
