“Over the past four years we have allocated significant funds towards our road network and as a result, there has been a great improvement in roads, allowing us to now re-allocate funds from the infrastructure budget to other areas,” he said.
“This is great news for users of our parks and playgrounds which will get a funding boost in the next financial year.
“It will allow us to accelerate a range of works identified in our playground strategy “Let’s Play”, with funding going towards the replacement of equipment five popular parks. Funds will also be allocated to the installation of shade sails.”

As part of the 206-17 infrastructure budget, funding will also be allocated to upgrades of seawalls, draining, footpaths, buildings, kerbs and gutters, traffic facilities and road pavements.
