For a third year in a row, City of Canada Bay has partnered with Garage Sale Trail, to take part in the largest day of simultaneous garage sales on Saturday, 24 October.
“This is a fun day for the entire community to take part in. This great sustainability event encourages the community to think about recycling unwanted items, stopping them from going to landfill, while making a few dollars, as well as saving some dollars,” Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.
“Also, as October is the “buying nothing new month”, finding a bargain at a garage sale is the perfect way to revamp your wardrobe or find a new household item.”
All households, community groups, schools and local organisations are encouraged to get behind Garage Sale Trail.
Garage Sale Trail aims to promote reuse, reduce waste to landfill, create awareness about illegal dumping, unite communities and stimulate the local economy. It’s a great way to make some money and save some money.
