“Come and join me at my usual clean-up location in Rodd Park from 10am to 2pm. I have joined with the community to clean up this location for the past 13 years and I welcome eager volunteers to this spot again,” Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.
Our Resource and Recovery Team will also be hosting a site at Rhodes Foreshore Park and are looking forward to seeing many people who are willing to come along and lend a helping hand.
“The City of Canada Bay is such a beautiful place to live and it’s our shared responsibility to keep it clean and help it thrive,” Mayor Tsirekas added.
All volunteers on the day will receive a free sausage sandwich and drink at both sites.
Businesses and schools will also have the opportunity to participate with Tuesday, 24 February being set as the clean-up day for businesses and Friday, 27 February for schools.
You can get involved by either registering a site that you would like to clean up or by finding a site that’s already been registered.
