“I will be welcoming all eager volunteers to give me a hand at my usual clean-up location, Rodd Park between 10am-2pm, on Sunday, 2 March. I’ve been attending this spot for 12 years and encourage residents to join me,” Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.
Our Resource and Recovery Team will also be hosting a site at Rhodes Foreshore Park and are looking forward to all those who are willing to lend a helping hand.
“We live in such a beautiful City and it’s our collective responsibility to keep it clean and healthy,” Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.
All volunteers on the day will receive a free sausage sandwich and drink at both sites.
Schools and businesses will also have the opportunity to participate with Tuesday, 25 February being set as the clean-up day for businesses and Friday, 28 February for schools.
