BMX enthusiasts across the City of Canada Bay can now enjoy the new and improved pump track at Timbrell Park in Five Dock.

“I’m pleased to announce this much-loved community recreation space has reopened for the public to enjoy,” said City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.

The pump track has reopened sporting new and reshaped jumps, trail restorations and safety improvements.

"The boys were excited about the building of the pump track at Timbrell Park after it had been closed for so long. The lockdowns meant they couldn't stray far from home and the reopening meant somewhere safe to go, plus it was getting them off their screens," said Drummoyne resident Grant Jones, father of Louis, 13.

Mayor Tsirekas said the upgrades had improved the riding experience of users.

“The Timbrell Park pump track attracts visitors from across the inner west. These improvements have made is a safer and more functional space.

“I encourage you to visit the space and take advantage of the many recreational opportunities we have in the City of Canada Bay.”
