Ready. Set. Go! The timer will be running for this fun, food-based workshop that teaches participants to cook a week’s worth of meals in just two hours! Participants will learn how to shop for, cook and store food in a way that eliminates food waste from the kitchen and saves time and money!

Learn some hearty warming winter recipes that can be cooked in one pot.

Please bring: knife, fork, spoon, bowl and a small plate

Australian Heritage Festival: Henry Lawson Exhibition

Concord Library is showing a photographic exhibition to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of famous Australian writer, Henry Lawson.

Lawson had an association with Canada Bay in his later life. Born in Grenfell, NSW on the 17 June 1867, he spent the last period of his life at Abbotsford, where he died in 1922 and is remembered today by Henry Lawson Park and memorials at Abbotsford Public School.

He was also a patient at Thomas Walker Convalescent Hospital at Concord, which he described as ‘a stately home of Rest’ in his poem The Unknown Patient.
