Smart cities use intelligent design, technology, creativity, and data analysis to improve quality of life and growth for the community. The City of Canada Bay is working on a smart city plan for our local government area, and this photography competition is all about highlighting what makes our City smart.

Mangroves are more than just trees with weird roots, smells and mozzies! They are highly valuable ecosystems that play an essential part in providing a safe refuge for aquatic organisms. They filter our waterways, provide local habitat and assist in preventing flood impacts.

Join us for an afternoon of creativity as we work with one plant subject, the mangroves. This class will build your art skills by demonstration of techniques with ink, paint and gold leaf.The emphasis will be on close observation of the mangroves and create an art piece that is truly unique and meaningful.
