Mangroves are more than just trees with weird roots, smells and mozzies! They are highly valuable ecosystems that play an essential part in providing a safe refuge for aquatic organisms. They filter our waterways, provide local habitat and assist in preventing flood impacts.
Join us for an afternoon of creativity as we work with one plant subject, the mangroves. This class will build your art skills by demonstration of techniques with ink, paint and goldleaf. The emphasis will be on close observation of the mangroves and create an art piece that is truly unique and meaningful.
Come along to Concord Community Garden's open day and learn the joys of growing and sharing fresh produce, pick up some composting and gardening tips or just have a cuppa with the members. There will be plenty of activities for kids so bring your family and friends along.
