This will be the official launch of Ann’s wonderful new book, Amazing Annoying Birds- Living with Australian Brush-turkeys. The workshop aims to help our community better understand birds, in particular the brush turkey, which has only recently returned south to Canada Bay from the northern suburbs.

We will also share tips for how to protect your gardens, what to look out for when seeing the birds in public and how to track and report bird sightings.

Kate’s new novel Restless Dolly Maunder, is the story of Dolly Maunder. Born at the end of the nineteenth century, society’s doors were slowly starting to creak ajar for women. Growing up in a poor farming family in country New South Wales, Dolly spent her restless life pushing at those doors.
