Katherine Allsopp’s art exhibition Natural Chaos consists of a range of oil paintings on panels (42x60cm). The works are semi abstract depicting flowers and shrubbery in intense compositions that heighten the wild chaos and explore their random beauty.

Katherine is a local artist and works from a personal collection of photographs, both from her travels abroad and from walks around her neighbourhood. The picture for the art work Fair Light was taken from a local garden on Fairlight Street in Five Dock.

Local resident, author and cook, Mon Saad, will be demonstrating how easy it is to prepare healthy, nutritious and delicious food. Mon has spent 30 years teaching people who want to cook Mediterranean food, but don’t know where to start.

The cooking demonstration and food tasting coincide with the launch of Mon’s Mediterranean Kitchen. The book is co-authored and published by Mon’s daughter Tanya Saad. Already an author, Tanya confesses her ulterior motive – she wanted her mother’s secret recipes.
