13-18 year olds will experience the charm of traditional animation by creating an iconic early animation device! 

This tactile hands-on activity invites young people to learn about cyclic movement as they create a Phenakistiscope (a classic animation device) and draw their own looping animation. 

Working with basic animation principles, teens will get to experiment with design and timing to gain an understanding of how sequential images come together to create the magic of animation!
