We’re creating a community group portrait and we need your help! Strike a pose, as we fill the whole glass wall of The Learning Space with your hand drawn silhouettes, and then transform the glass with bright colours into an accessible, fun, and hugely rewarding community artwork. In April 2023, City of Canada Bay Libraries hosted 2 hands-on cartography workshops with Uncle Jimmy Smith at Five Dock Library. Participants worked in small groups to create hand drawn maps which explored, and re-imagined their knowledge of the plants, animals, landforms and waterways in our local area. These maps have been digitised and will be on display at Five Dock Library as part of our celebration of NAIDOC week.
