Science Week: Exploring DNA and Chronic Disease
Join us at Concord Library as part of Science Week 2026 for an insightful look at how DNA plays a role in detecting chronic diseases.
Our presenter, Dr Yi Jin Liew, will discuss advancements in DNA sequencing used to detect cancer recurrence, as well as the role DNA plays in the early detection of chronic disease.

Italian Film Screening: The Bicycle Thief/ Ladri di Biciclette (A Ferragosto Pre-event)
In the lead-up to the iconic Italian Festival, Ferragosto at Five Dock, City of Canada Bay Libraries will host a film screening of the Italian film, The Bicycle Thief (Ladri di Biciclette).
The film will be streamed in Italian with English subtitles via Beamafilm.
