Can a dustpan or broom be a robot? How about a milk frother?

You can make robots that crawl, dance, wiggle, sweep and scoop using everyday objects and simple electronics. We're turning The Learning Space into a simple bot maker lab every Tuesday during Vivid Ideas. Get together with your family and friends in a group of up to four people, and come along to join the fun as we guide you through making simple robots that explore common robotic mechanisms. 

This is a one day workshop that will give you the skills needed to add wearable electronics to your costumes, skateboards, shoes or any other object you can think of.

Add sparkly LEDs to your bike, backpack and shoes. We will introduce you to the Arduino Platform and how it can be used to control LEDs at this Vivid Ideas event. We will also look at the amazing array of sensors such as accelerometers, microphones etc that can be used to input data into the Arduino. Suitable for ages 13+.
