Writing your memoir will lead you into emotionally difficult territory. How much of what you write will be the truth? And how do you select what to write about? In this workshop, you will learn how to choose a subject, plan, focus, and begin a memoir.
What makes for good subjects in memoirs? Family relationships, a passionate interest, a phase or era of your life? The differences between autobiography and memoir will also be explored, and the idea of self-disclosure will be addressed.
Royal Life Saving NSW is partnering with Drummoyne Sailing Club to host a free Lifesaving Skills Refresher course for senior residents during Seniors Festival 2025.
This workshop is aimed at people aged 60+ and is designed to teach seniors how to respond confidently in an emergency by providing CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) demonstrations. This program is designed to empower older people to know that they can save a life, no matter their age.
Afternoon tea is included at the end of the workshop.
