Timbrell Park Amenities Upgrade

Timbrell Park is one of the most strategically-important open spaces in the City of Canada Bay, also serving the adjoining community of Inner West Council. The park is used for a wide range of activities including baseball, cricket, football, school sports, walking, running, cycling, dog-walking and exercising.

As part of the $1.975 million upgrade, Council will be replacing the two existing amenities buildings (that are no longer fit-for-purpose) with a brand new amenities building that will demonstrate best-practice modern design principles. Key features are expected to include:

  • Change rooms

  • Public toilets

  • A new canteen

  • Covered spectator areas

  • Storerooms

  • A community room.

The project will significantly improve the park’s inclusivity and accessibility by providing shared-use facilities for the entire community to enjoy. To understand the community needs at Timbrell Park, the City of Canada Bay will be updating the Plan of Management for Timbrell Park.
